We recently concluded a fruitful workshop between stakeholders regarding ongoing ADB funded project, “Preparation of Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Project in the Maldives”. A joint venture between International Centre for Environmental Management (ICEM) and Epoch Associates has been commissioned by ADB to develop and prepare an investment project focused on climate adaptation and resilience. It is intended to fill the current gaps in adaptive capacity through the implementation of a comprehensive, integrated approach that reduced flood risk, strengthens early-warning systems and improves agri-food resilience.

During the course of the project, our team will focus on three major outputs, 1) Capacity and awareness to plan, adapt and respond to climate change strengthened, 2) Infrastructure for urban flood protection and nature-based solutions developed, and 3) Solutions for improved resilience of islands agri-food system.
